How is VAT handled?
- No billing address provided: Swedish VAT (25%) applies by default

- Non-EU customers: No VAT applies
- EU business customers: Reverse charge applies (no VAT) with a valid VAT ID
We operate on a no-KYC basis, so providing billing information is voluntary. However, accurate location details may reduce your invoice amount if you qualify for a lower rate or reverse charge.

Why do GeoIP services show unexpected locations for my instance?
GeoIP results vary by provider due to different methodologies:
- Antarctica: Our official GeoFeed (RFC 8805) declares Antarctica to highlight that IP geolocation is fundamentally unreliable
- Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland: These are our anycast edge locations—probing-based GeoIP detects these rather than actual server locations
- Sweden: Our legal jurisdiction, which may not reflect physical server locations
IP addresses have no inherent geographic properties. Services requiring accurate location should use explicit user input or device GPS rather than IP-based inference.

What is the difference between Floating IPs and Standard Datacenter IPs?
We offer two distinct IP networking options:
Floating IPs (Premium Anycast Network): Your IP addresses are announced via BGP across all our edge Points of Presence in multiple countries. Traffic automatically routes to the nearest edge, providing global optimization, lower latency, integrated DDoS protection, and automatic failover.
Standard Datacenter IPs (Direct Network): IP addresses are announced only through the datacenter's direct transit providers. Traffic follows standard internet routing with simpler topology, predictable BGP routing, and lower cost.
Choose Premium Anycast for latency-sensitive applications or global audiences. Choose Standard for backend services, databases, or budget-conscious deployments.
