Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our infrastructure, policies, and payment methods.

General & Privacy

Do you keep logs?
No. We do not log IP addresses, traffic content, DNS queries, or VPN timestamps. We retain only the minimum data required for active session management and billing, which is deleted upon service termination.
How do you handle DMCA and abuse complaints?
We operate under Swedish law and review all complaints manually. We do not use automated takedown systems. DMCA notices are generally disregarded unless accompanied by a valid Swedish court order. We maintain zero tolerance for CSAM and spam. See our Abuse Policy for details.
Do you publish a warrant canary?
No. Warrant canaries were designed for US legal contexts involving National Security Letters with gag orders. Swedish law has no equivalent mechanism, and court orders require due process without indefinite secrecy provisions. More importantly, we do not retain identifying data—even under a valid Swedish court order, we would have nothing meaningful to produce.

Payments & Billing

Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?
We accept Monero (XMR) and Bitcoin (BTC). All cryptocurrency payments are processed directly to ensure maximum privacy.
How does payment with gold work?
We accept physical gold bullion bars with a minimum weight of 2 grams. Ship the gold to our secure facility, and once verified, the value is credited to your account. This option is available exclusively for advance payments on long-term hosting. Contact Sales for shipping instructions.
What is your refund policy?
Payments made via cryptocurrency, cash, or gold are non-refundable due to their anonymous nature. For other payment methods, discretionary pro-rated refunds may be available, minus applicable fees.
How does cash by mail work?
Send physical cash (EUR, USD, or SEK) via registered mail to our secure facility. Once received and verified, credits are applied to your account. Cash payments are non-refundable and require no identity verification. Contact Sales for mailing instructions.
How is VAT handled?
All displayed prices exclude VAT. VAT application depends on your location and customer type:
  • No billing address provided: Swedish VAT (25%) applies by default
  • EU customers: Your EU member state's VAT rate applies
  • Non-EU customers: No VAT applies
  • EU business customers: Reverse charge applies (no VAT) with a valid VAT ID

We operate on a no-KYC basis, so providing billing information is voluntary. However, accurate location details may reduce your invoice amount if you qualify for a lower rate or reverse charge.

Which payment methods require identity verification?
Only traditional payment methods require identity verification: Credit Card, PayPal, and Bank Transfer. Anonymous payment methods—Monero, Bitcoin, Cash by Mail, and Physical Gold—require no KYC.

Technical & Infrastructure

What virtualization technology do you use?
We use KVM-based virtualization powered by OpenStack Nova. Our instances are not overprovisioned—you receive dedicated vCPU cores rather than shared time slices, ensuring consistent and predictable performance.
Do you own your hardware?
Yes. We own all infrastructure, including servers, network equipment, ASN (AS214503), and datacenter space in Stockholm. We are not a reseller—you receive infrastructure directly from the operator with full physical control.
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes. All instances include automated edge DDoS scrubbing at no additional cost. Our network provides terabit-scale aggregate capacity to absorb volumetric attacks while maintaining sub-10ms European latency.
Do you use NetFlow or traffic monitoring?
Yes, but with strict anonymization. We use NetFlow exclusively on upstream transit links to identify potential peering partners. This data is heavily sampled (0.001%) and anonymized immediately at the source. All IP and port information is stripped, retaining only the Autonomous System Number. This process is irreversible—we cannot produce un-anonymized flow data even under legal request.
Do you support IPv6?
Yes. Native dual-stack IPv6 is included at no charge with all instances. Both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity are available by default.
Do you support Terraform, Ansible, or API automation?
Yes. Our OpenStack-based platform provides full API access with native support for Terraform, Ansible, and the OpenStack CLI. Infrastructure as Code is fully supported.
What storage options are available?
We offer Block Storage (OpenStack Cinder) with standard, high-IOPS, high-availability (3-copy replication), and hardware-encrypted (SED) volume options. We also provide S3-compatible Object Storage (OpenStack Swift) with configurable replication levels. See our Pricing page for details.
Is outbound SMTP allowed?
No. Outbound SMTP traffic (TCP ports 25, 465, 587, 2525) is blocked by default to prevent abuse. To request email sending capabilities, contact Support with justification. Exceptions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Why do GeoIP services show unexpected locations for my instance?

GeoIP results vary by provider due to different methodologies:

  • Antarctica: Our official GeoFeed (RFC 8805) declares Antarctica to highlight that IP geolocation is fundamentally unreliable
  • Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland: These are our anycast edge locations—probing-based GeoIP detects these rather than actual server locations
  • Sweden: Our legal jurisdiction, which may not reflect physical server locations

IP addresses have no inherent geographic properties. Services requiring accurate location should use explicit user input or device GPS rather than IP-based inference.

Services & Usage

Can I run a Tor exit node?
Yes. We actively support the Tor network and host over 10% of global exit capacity. We provide legal protection for exit operators under Swedish jurisdiction. See our Tor / Onion page for details.
Is adult content allowed?
Yes. Adult content is permitted provided it is legal under Swedish law. We maintain absolute zero tolerance for CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) and report all instances immediately.
Do you provide managed support?
No. Our Cloud Instances and Dedicated services are unmanaged—you are responsible for your operating system and software. We manage the hardware, network, and power. Managed support packages are available upon request for enterprise contracts.

Networking & Advanced

Can I bring my own IP addresses (BYOIP)?
Yes. If you own IP address space, you can announce it through our network at no additional cost. We also offer LIR sponsorship for managing RIPE resources on your behalf.
Do you offer cross-connects or hybrid cloud?
Yes. We provide private physical links (10 Gbps or 100 Gbps) for direct connection to your datacenter or on-premise infrastructure. Multiple VLANs per connection are supported.
Are there egress fees?
No. Standard hosting workloads incur no egress fees. For predominantly transit traffic (routing through our network to external destinations, excluding peering/PNI), the rate is 10 SEK per terabyte. Unlike hyperscalers, we do not profit from bandwidth—any charges reflect actual upstream costs. See our Terms of Service for details.
What is the difference between Floating IPs and Standard Datacenter IPs?

We offer two distinct IP networking options:

Floating IPs (Premium Anycast Network): Your IP addresses are announced via BGP across all our edge Points of Presence in multiple countries. Traffic automatically routes to the nearest edge, providing global optimization, lower latency, integrated DDoS protection, and automatic failover.

Standard Datacenter IPs (Direct Network): IP addresses are announced only through the datacenter's direct transit providers. Traffic follows standard internet routing with simpler topology, predictable BGP routing, and lower cost.

Choose Premium Anycast for latency-sensitive applications or global audiences. Choose Standard for backend services, databases, or budget-conscious deployments.
